11 people have been arrested in connection with the fire that occurred in the "Wang Fuk Court" residential complex located in Hong Kong.
Qafqazinfo reports that 8 of them were arrested by the Independent Commission Against Corruption, and 3 were arrested by the police.
It should be noted that as a result of the fire that lasted 2 days, 128 people died, and 79 people were injured, including 12 firefighters.
The Hong Kong government has announced that state support will be provided to pay 200,000 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 43,600 AZN) to the family of each deceased person, as well as the funeral expenses.
In addition, everyone affected by the fire will receive compensation in the amount of 50,000 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 10,100 AZN) in addition to the previously promised 10,000 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 2,000 AZN).
