Train disaster in India: Passengers trapped in flames

One person died in a fire on a train in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

Publika.az reports that this information was published by the "Hindustan Times" newspaper.

It was reported that a passenger train running on the Tata Nagar-Ernakulam Express line caught fire at around 01:30 local time.

Authorities stated that the fire started in the air-conditioned carriages numbered B1 and M2 and that the train was stopped at the station.

Before the firefighters arrived, the flames rapidly spread to two carriages. Most of the passengers were evacuated from the carriages.

A 70-year-old man in one of the carriages died.
