It is proposed to increase the amount of financial allowance paid to military personnel in Azerbaijan (excluding conscripted active military personnel) according to the positions they hold and their military ranks.
Medianews.az, citing Oxu.Az, reports that this was included in the "Report of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025," which was discussed at today's meeting of the Human Rights Committee of the National Assembly.
Also, taking into account the real situation and the increase in rent prices, the document proposes increasing the amount of monetary compensation set for temporary housing rental for military personnel.
Furthermore, clarifying the status of persons who participated in the combat operations for the territorial integrity of our republic during the period from the First Karabakh War to the beginning of the Patriotic War (including the April 2016 clashes, the July 2020 Tovuz clashes, and other military conflicts), as well as in the anti-terrorism operation conducted in 2023, is among the organization's proposals.
It was emphasized that it is also proposed to adjust the amount of allowance paid to the children of a person serving in conscripted active military service to correspond with the established subsistence minimum for children nationwide.
