Real Madrid's midfielder Eduardo Camavinga spoke about the hatred from fans after being sent off in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Bayern (1:2).
Medianews.az, referring to İdman.Biz, reports that in the 86th minute, the player committed a foul against Munich striker Harry Kane in the opponent's half and, after the whistle, refused to give the ball to the opponent. Because of this, referee Slavko Vinčić showed him a second yellow card.
"Red card? It is a bad memory. It was an unfortunate incident I never expected. It hurt me, but that is part of being a player. I wouldn't be lying if I said that I completely gave up [social media] after what happened. I think we would be better off without social media. Football doesn't forgive mistakes. You can play 10 good games, but if you make a mistake in one, people will forget the rest.
They [my teammates] immediately came to the locker room to support me. They told me it wasn’t my fault and that it was a referee error. I accepted it as a mistake. Even the next day, the club sent me messages saying it wasn’t my fault," Cadena Ser quotes Camavinga's words.
