The Secretariat of the Global South NGO Platform (GSNP) has been transferred to Azerbaijan.
Medianews.az reports that this was announced at the meeting of the Platform’s 1st General Assembly.
It was stated that based on the election, Fuad Karimli was elected as the GSNP Secretary General. With this, Azerbaijan will lead the organization for 5 years at the GSNP’s 1st General Assembly. Additionally, four deputies representing the regions of Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Ocean basin were elected.
The meeting is attended by NGO representatives from more than 110 countries in total, from regions covering Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Ocean basin, where 80% of the world's population resides. //Baki vaxti.az
