One of the two employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations died and the other was injured as a result of being hit by a vehicle while performing service duties in Salyan.
During the incident, Hakim Piriyev, an employee of the Shirvan City Fire Protection Unit of the State Fire Protection Service, born in 1984, lost his life as a result of being hit by a truck. Elşən Tağıyev, born in 1989, sustained various degrees of injuries.
Milli.Az reports that the last moments captured seconds before the incident have been released.
From the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ operational video, it is also evident that the fire trucks involved at the fire site on the Alat-Astara highway are trying to extinguish the truck. At this time, thick smoke is observed around the vehicle. A few minutes later, a car passing by on the road hits these Ministry of Emergency Situations employees.
