The ranking is based on results obtained by considering the importance of matches and the position of opponents before the game. The coefficient for an official friendly match is at least 5 and at most 10, while the minimum coefficient for an international tournament match is 15 and the maximum is 60.
A win in regular and extra time is worth 1 point, a win in a penalty shootout 0.75 points, and a loss in that shootout 0.5 points.
