PhD candidates in foreign languages today They will take the exam.

On February 15, the State Examination Center (SEC) will hold a foreign language PhD exam for candidates studying or graduated from doctoral, dissertation, and adjunct programs in Baku and Nakhchivan cities.

Medianews.az reports that 258 people are expected to participate in the exam. The exam starts at 11:00 AM. The admission mode ends at 10:45 AM. Participants arriving after this time will not be allowed into the exam building.

Candidates must bring the following documents to the exam:

- The original document proving identity;

- Exam admission ticket.

It is necessary to arrive at the exam building at the time indicated on the admission ticket.

The first 1 hour and 30 minutes of the exam duration is allocated for answering test questions, and the last 1 hour and 30 minutes is allocated for completing written tasks (essay and written description of visual information).

A total of 2 exam buildings have been allocated for conducting the exam.

It should be noted that the exams will be held electronically. The PhD exam in Azerbaijani language will be conducted traditionally using paper materials.

The exam held on February 15 will consist of listening comprehension, reading comprehension, language use (lexical-grammatical tasks), and writing blocks. Candidates who do not participate in this exam will not be allowed to take the speaking block exam.

It should be noted that the speaking block exam will be held on February 19. Candidates who do not participate in the speaking block exam will not be awarded a certificate even if they achieve a score of 30 or higher in the first four blocks.

In both foreign language PhD exams and the Azerbaijani language PhD exam for foreign and stateless candidates, each correct answer to test questions is scored with one point, and incorrect answers do not affect the result of correct answers. Tasks in the writing and speaking blocks are evaluated on a 10-point scale. Thus, the maximum possible score in the exam is 50. Candidates who score at least 20 percent of the points in the listening comprehension, reading comprehension, language use (lexical-grammatical tasks), writing, and speaking blocks, and at least 30 points in the foreign language PhD exam or at least 25 points in the Azerbaijani language PhD exam for foreigners, are considered to have met the requirements of the exam results.

The Azerbaijani language PhD exam and the speaking block exam for foreign and stateless candidates will be held on February 16.
