The State Statistics Committee has reported the population of Azerbaijan as 10 million 266 thousand 627 people as of March 1, 2026.
According to the report, in January-February, there were 14,797 births, 10,878 deaths, 5,250 marriages, and 3,376 divorces recorded in the country.
Medianews.az states that compared to the first two months of 2025, there was an 8.2 percent decrease in births, a 31.9 percent decrease in marriages, a 4.8 percent decrease in divorces, and a 4.8 percent increase in deaths.
It is reported that per 1,000 people there are 8.9 births, 6.6 deaths, 3.2 marriages, and 2 divorces.
