Hikmət İbrahimli, head of the Medical Planning Department of the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance, has resigned from his position.
Medianews.az reports that prior to this position, Hikmət İbrahimli worked as the head of the Department of Health Organization and Management at the Azerbaijan State Institute for Advanced Training of Physicians named after Əziz Əliyev.
He closely participated in the establishment of TƏBİB in 2020.
In 2023, he was awarded the "Healthcare Excellence" badge by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan for his services in the field of healthcare.
By the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 19, 2024, he was awarded the academic title of professor.
Hikmət İbrahimli continues his scientific and pedagogical activities at the Department of Health Organization and Management of the Azerbaijan State Institute for Advanced Training of Physicians named after Əziz Əliyev.
Recall that last month, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on a number of measures to improve management in the field of mandatory health insurance for the population.
By the decree, the State Medical Insurance and Expertise Agency (DTSEA) as a public legal entity was established under the Ministry through the reorganization of the State Agency of Mandatory Health Insurance (İTSDA) and the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population in the form of a merger.
The powers of İTSDA in the field of mandatory health insurance for the population were transferred to the ministry. The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to ensure the implementation of necessary measures and prepare proposals within three months to submit to the President.
