The Austrian government plans to restrict access to social networks for individuals under the age of 14.
Medianews.az According to Milli.Az, the three parties represented in the government have reached a preliminary agreement on the issue. The purpose of the ban is to "protect children from the harmful effects of attractive algorithms and undesirable content."
Although it was announced that work on the relevant law would begin in July, the implementation date is not yet known.
It should be noted that Austria was the first country last December to restrict access to social networks for individuals under the age of 16.
