It is reported that cases of dengue fever infection are increasing in Iran.
Medianews.az reports that this information was provided by the head of the Iranian HIV/AIDS Center, Professor Mino Mehraez.
According to him, the mosquito species that transmits the disease has been present in the country for a long time and multiplies rapidly especially in stagnant waters.
Mino Mehraez noted that dengue fever is transmitted to humans through mosquito bites and there is no direct transmission between people.
"During the first infection, symptoms are mainly mild and resemble a cold. However, repeated infection can cause more severe consequences, bleeding, and even death. There is no specific treatment for the disease, therefore preventive measures are of special importance," he emphasized. // Bakiwaxti.az
