US President Donald Trump made a striking statement regarding Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife Celia Flores.
Musavat.com reports that according to Trump, Maduro and his wife are currently under the control of US special forces and are being taken to New York by a military ship.
The US president compared this operation to previous years' failures, specifically referencing the example of Afghanistan. According to him, Washington is no longer a country that has become a "laughing stock" internationally.
"Compare this with Afghanistan. There we became the laughing stock of the entire world. But now it is not like that. We are no longer a laughing stock. We have the most powerful army in the world - unequivocally. The world's most powerful military equipment also belongs to us," Trump emphasized.
