Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, a member of Bayern's supervisory board, stated that the club intends to start negotiations on a new contract with striker Harry Kane after the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

He noted that Kane's transfer to Bayern is one of the club's greatest successes in its history. The fact that the player did not activate the release clause in his contract confirms his intention to stay in Munich. For this reason, the club management will begin official negotiations with him at the end of the season to extend his contract. According to Rummenigge, Kane has elevated to a new level under the leadership of head coach Vincent Kompany; he is not only a goal-scoring striker but also performs the function of a playmaker by dropping back to midfield and providing productive passes to players like Michael Olise and Luis Dias.
The 32-year-old English striker has been playing for Bayern since August 2023, and his current contract is valid until June 30, 2027.
