The price of eggs has sharply dropped in Azerbaijan.
Medianews.az reports that until recently, eggs were offered at 9-17 qəpik each, but their price in markets has dropped to as low as 3-4 qəpik. There are even markets that sell eggs with a sharp discount at 1 qəpik each.
It is reported that the sharp price drop is seasonal in nature. That is, egg consumption significantly decreases in the summer months. Meanwhile, egg production increases even more during this period.
