Clarification has been provided regarding the occurrence of dyed oranges for sale by the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency.
Oxu.Az reports that this information was given by Aziz Sharifov, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency, during a press conference dedicated to the results of 2025.
He stated that oranges are imported to Azerbaijan from many countries:
"Imported products are subjected to expertise based on risk. Last year, during import, dyeing food additives were detected in 421 thousand tons of oranges, and their circulation was prevented.
Last year, warnings were issued to exporting countries regarding this issue. Recently, this situation has not been observed in the markets."
