As of September 1, 2025, the population of Azerbaijan has reached 10 million 249 thousand 500 people.
Medianews.az reports, citing the State Statistical Committee, that during the January-August period, 63,698 births, 39,951 deaths, 31,403 marriages, and 13,869 divorces were recorded; compared to the same period of 2024, births decreased by 7 percent, divorces by 4.8 percent, deaths increased by 1.7 percent, and marriages increased by 2.2 percent.
According to the official report, per 1,000 people there were 9.3 births, 5.9 deaths, 4.6 marriages, and 2 divorces.
