These persons in Azerbaijan salary is increased

It is proposed to increase the amount of payments given to servicemen according to their positions and military ranks.

Milli.Az reports that in the 2025 report of the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman), it is noted that increasing the financial support for military personnel, as well as raising the amount of compensation provided for housing rent, is considered advisable. The issue was discussed at the meeting of the Human Rights Committee of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly).

On this issue, military expert Emin Həsənli told Oxu24.com that the Azerbaijani state always pays special attention and care to servicemen:

"Military personnel who have served flawlessly for more than 20 years are provided with housing. Servicemen, families of martyrs, and war invalids come first in mortgage privileges.

Houses are also given to the families of martyrs and war invalids; war invalids are given cars and receive a presidential pension. Additionally, the accumulated leave payments of servicemen have been paid, and I believe the food provision payments, which have remained unpaid since 2013, will also be given.

Our state undertakes steps concerning the provision for servicemen—from health and medical care to material and moral support—all of which are at a high level, including the organization of leisure time. And these steps will be increased further in accordance with the demands of the modern era. By the order of the Supreme Commander, we have transitioned to the Turkish model. The legislative and legal base is adapting accordingly.

You know that the pension provision of servicemen used to be such that retired servicemen's pensions increased as military salaries increased; later, according to the relevant presidential decree, for example, this year it increased by 10.3%. When this amount increases by about 10% annually, servicemen receive this with great satisfaction. This process continues, and it is carried out in various directions.

I believe that in the future, systematic and consistent work will be done in this direction. Discussions are underway in the relevant bodies, and we will witness significant steps taken in this direction in the near future."
