As of December 1, 2025, the number of wage-employed workers in the country's economy was 1.797 million people, of whom 869.0 thousand worked in the state sector of the economy, and 928.4 thousand were engaged in the non-state sector.

According to the information, 18.6 percent of wage-employed workers were in trade; repair of motor vehicles, 18.2 percent in education, 14.0 percent in industry, 8.5 percent in providing health and social services to the population, 6.7 percent in construction, 6.3 percent in public administration and defense; social security, 4.5 percent in transport and storage, 3.9 percent in professional, scientific and technical activities, 2.4 percent in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2.3 percent in financial and insurance activities, and 14.6 percent were engaged in other sectors of the economy.
In January-November 2025, the average monthly nominal wage of wage-employed workers in the country's economy increased by 9.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 1089.2 manat. The average monthly nominal wage was higher in the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as in the transport and storage sectors of the economy.
