The next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Estonia was held in Baku city.

According to information provided to Medianews.az by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fariz Rzayev, while the Estonian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Roger.

Within the framework of the consultations, the current state of political relations between Azerbaijan and Estonia was reviewed, and the role of mutual visits and meetings held on international platforms in ensuring the continuity of bilateral dialogue was specially noted.

The establishment of Estonia's embassy in Azerbaijan was welcomed.

During the meeting, the current state of cooperation in economic, humanitarian, and educational fields, as well as future development prospects, were discussed. Additionally, an exchange of views took place regarding strategic energy and transport projects implemented with Azerbaijan's initiative and active participation, as well as cooperation prospects within international organizations.

The parties discussed the current situation in the region, work done towards normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, as well as large-scale restoration, reconstruction, and demining activities carried out in liberated territories.

In addition, other regional and international issues of mutual interest were also at the center of attention.
