Further transit cargo shipments from Russia to Armenia have been carried out via Azerbaijani territory.
Medianews.az reports that today, from the Bilecik station towards Boyuk Kesik, a train consisting of 10 wagons carrying grain with a total weight of 700 tons has departed. Also today, aluminum products weighing a total of 133 tons and consisting of 2 wagons are being transported on a transit basis. Aluminum cargo is being shipped on this route for the first time.
It should be noted that so far, more than 26,000 tons of grain, over 3,800 tons of fertilizer, and 68 tons of buckwheat have been transported from Russia to Armenia as transit cargo via Azerbaijani territory. These indicators demonstrate the expansion of transport and logistics capabilities in the region and the efficient operation of transit routes.
Additionally, the export of petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia continues. To date, more than 8,500 tons of diesel fuel, 979 tons of AI-92 unleaded gasoline, and 2,955 tons of AI-95 unleaded gasoline have been exported to Armenia.
