The most expensive days of the euro, lira, ruble, and lari

In the years 2015-2017, the official exchange rate of the US dollar in Azerbaijan rose from 0.7844 manat to 1.7001 manat, and since March 7, 2018, it has been sold to banks at 1.7 manat. The exchange rates of other foreign currencies are regularly updated.

Medianews.az reports that in January-October 2025, the highest official euro rate was recorded on September 17: 2.0154 manat.

The upper exchange rate of the Turkish lira fell on January 8-10: 0.0481 manat.

The maximum rate for 100 Russian rubles was recorded on May 30: 2.2033 manat.

The peak of the Georgian lari was formalized on August 29: 0.6320 manat.

Exchange rates are regulated through currency auctions. In currency auctions held by the Central Bank from January to September 2025, funds amounting to 4 billion 350.3 million US dollars were received from the State Oil Fund. The corresponding sales volume was reported as 4.9 billion in 2016, 3.6 billion in 2017, 6.5 billion in 2018, 6.6 billion in 2019, 7.3 billion in 2020, 6.7 billion in 2021, 4.7 billion in 2022, 2.7 billion in 2023, and 7.1 billion dollars in 2024.
