The Anti-Corruption Committee has not taken a clear position on the discussions surrounding the initiative of the fund belonging to the family of the Prime Minister in Armenia.
Musavat.com reports that Artur Nahapetyan, the head of Armenia's Anti-Corruption Committee, has avoided commenting on whether the promise of the fund of Anna Akopyan, the wife of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, to organize free English language courses constitutes a legal violation.
In response to journalists' questions, he did not express a definite stance on the legal assessment of this initiative against the backdrop of the law prohibiting charitable activities aimed at influencing voters’ will during the election period. Nahapetyan noted that any statement could affect the course of a possible investigation. According to him, no official request regarding this issue has been received by the committee so far.
