Family tragedy in Agdam: Father and two children drowned

A tragedy occurred in the Agdam district. Medianews.az reports that the incident was recorded at the Khachinchay water reservoir located in the Khachindarband village area of the district. According to preliminary information, a resident of Jinli village in the Agdam district drowned while swimming in the water reservoir with two of his children. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan released a statement regarding the incident. It was reported that information about three people drowning in the Khachinchay water reservoir in the Agdam district was received on the "112" emergency hotline. Based on the information, the divers-rescuers of the State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Rescue Operations on Water of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately dispatched to the scene and began search and rescue operations. As a result of the search, the bodies of Sharif Shamsaddin oglu Iskandarov, born in 1985, Tunar Sharif oglu Iskandarov, born in 2008, and Fidan Sharif qizi Iskandarova, born in 2009, were recovered from the water and handed over to the relevant authorities. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
