Oncologist Gleb Khrebtov stated that in recent years cases of colorectal cancer have increased among people aged 40–48.
Medianews.az reports that according to the doctor, the main reason for this is a sedentary lifestyle.
Prolonged office work and remaining motionless in front of a computer cause disruptions in bowel function, chronic constipation, and inflammatory processes. This, in turn, increases the risk of cancer over time.
Khrebtov noted that regular physical activity significantly reduces the risk of colorectal cancer.
