Bakıvaxtı.az reports that a 15-year-old teenager, a resident of Ucar district, has been admitted to the Maternity Department of the Ucar District Central Hospital.
According to the incoming information, a criminal case has been initiated in the Investigation Department of the Police Department, and investigative actions are ongoing regarding the case.
In response to the inquiry from Bakıvaxtı.az, Teymur Mərdanoğlu, the press secretary of the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children’s Issues, stated that based on the information circulating on social networks about a minor giving birth in Ucar district, the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children’s Issues has commenced the appropriate investigations:
"According to the information provided by the local executive authority, the minor and the newborn baby are currently in a medical institution, and their condition is assessed as satisfactory.
Investigations related to the fact are continuing by the relevant authorities, and depending on the results, the responsibility of the teenager’s parents will be legally evaluated."
The Committee spokesperson also noted that along with this, necessary measures are being taken to protect the rights of the minor and the baby, as well as to ensure their social and psychological support.
