Russian MMA fighter Aleksandr Yemelyanenko has announced that he has not converted to Islam.
According to a report by Oxu.Az, he stated this in an interview on Stanislav Rojenkov's "YouTube" channel.
According to Yemelyanenko, rumors about him converting to Islam started spreading after his trip to the Middle East.
"I have never converted to Islam. I have talked about this many times. I was invited to Saudi Arabia. We went there, and after that, rumors spread that I had converted to Islam," the athlete said.
