The mission carried out overnight by the United States to capture Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro has been called the "Operation Full Determination."
According to AZERTAC, this was stated by General Dan Keen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States.
"The operation known as 'Operation Full Determination' on January 2 at midnight was the culmination of a covert, precise, and months-long planning and training process, an operation that only the US military could execute," the general said.
He also revealed some details of the operation, stating that Maduro's movements, where he lived, where he traveled, what he ate, and what he wore were monitored for months.
"From 20 different bases on land and sea in the Western Hemisphere, more than 150 aircraft took off.
With a series of strikes in the area, the guarded helicopters reached Maduro’s headquarters around 1:00 AM. Security forces were fired upon while attempting to capture Maduro and his wife, multiple self-defense operations were conducted, and then they flew back from Venezuela around 3:29 AM," Dan Keen noted.
