Before the allergy season begins, many people make the same mistake, which makes the flowering period especially difficult to endure.

The doctor noted that the most common mistake is the late start of taking antihistamine medications. According to her, taking the medicines before the flowering season begins - when there is not much pollen in the air - has a more effective impact.
To prepare for the flowering period, the doctor also recommended monitoring pollen spread forecasts, stocking up on medication in advance, or consulting a doctor for advice. In her opinion, vaseline can also be helpful during the peak of the season. Nighat Arif advised applying vaseline to the nose and around the nose.
"Vaseline acts as a barrier against pollen, trapping and holding pollen particles before they enter the nasal passages," she added.
