The next parliamentary election in Hungary has been scheduled for April 12.
Medianews.az reports that the 199-member Hungarian parliament (National Assembly), whose term of office is four years, is elected with 106 members by a majoritarian system (by constituencies), and 93 members by a proportional system (by party lists). To form a government, 100 mandates are required.
The ruling Hungarian Civic Alliance (Fidesz) has nominated its leader Viktor Orban again for the position of prime minister.
Viktor Orban, born in 1963, is a lawyer. He served as prime minister from 1998 to 2002. He has held the same position since 2010.
