An armed attack was carried out at a high school in Turkey.
Medianews.az reports, citing Haberle.com, that the incident took place at Ahmet Koyuncu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School located in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa.
A 19-year-old individual entered the school and randomly fired a hunting rifle around the area.
As a result of the incident, 16 people were injured, including teachers, students, a police officer, and a cafeteria worker. The attacker later committed suicide.
According to official information, the attacker was a former student of the school and had only studied there up to the 9th grade. The condition of some of the injured is moderately serious, while the treatment of others is ongoing.
The moment of the armed attack was recorded by security cameras. The footage shows the attacker entering the school by opening fire.
An investigation into the case is ongoing.
