The final roster of the Turkish national team for the 2026 World Cup has been announced: 9 footballers were left out

The Turkey national football team has announced its final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Medianews.az reports that 9 players have been removed from the extended list before the tournament and the main squad of 26 players has been determined.

Goalkeepers: Altay Bayındır, Mert Günok, Uğurcan Çakır.

Defenders: Abdülkerim Bardakcı, Çağlar Söyüncü, Eren Elmalı, Ferdi Kadıoğlu, Merih Demiral, Mert Müldür, Ozan Kabak, Samet Akaydin, Zeki Çelik.

Midfielders: Hakan Çalhanoğlu, İsmail Yüksek, Kaan Ayhan, Orkun Kökçü, Salih Özcan.

Forwards: Arda Güler, Barış Alper Yılmaz, Can Uzun, Deniz Gül, Kenan Yıldız, Kerem Aktürkoğlu, Oğuz Aydın, Yunus Akgün, İrfan Can Kahveci.

Players excluded from the squad: Muhammed Şengezer, Ersin Destanoğlu, Atakan Karazor, Ahmetcan Kaplan, Mustafa Eskihellaç, Yusuf Sarı, Yusuf Akçiçek, Aral Şimşir, and Demir Ege Tıknaz.

The Turkey Football Federation (TFF) stated that Şengezer, Şimşir, and Tıknaz will be kept on the reserve list and can be called up to the squad in case of injury.

The team will compete in Group D at the tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
