Strong in Russia There was an earthquake

A 6.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Tunkin district of the Republic of Buryatia, Russia.

According to Medianews.az, this information was provided by the regional main department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).

The underground tremors occurred at 06:18 Baku time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 7.6 kilometers northwest of the Kıren settlement and 34 kilometers away from the Arshan village.

According to the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the earthquake was felt with a strength of 3 points in Irkutsk, Angarsk, Shelekhov, Slyudyanka, and several other settlements. Local residents in the Tunkin district felt mild tremors.

Work to check the condition of buildings, socially significant and infrastructure facilities has been organized by special groups of the MES.
