Even with a thousand drones, the “Titanic” ship they animated

Approximately a thousand illuminated drones recreated the silhouette of the legendary "Titanic" liner at Belfast port.

BBC's "Made Here" project created the installation, according to a report by "BelfastLive."

It was stated that the ship set off on its first and final voyage from here in 1912.

"We are very proud to have brought the 'Titanic' back to Belfast. The city enthusiastically supported the second-by-second investigation of the ship's final hours. There is no better way to commemorate the construction of the most famous ship in history and the creation of this epic series than by illuminating the 'Titanic' at Belfast port," said Simon Young, co-creator of the project.

However, many Irish people have expressed dissatisfaction with the insufficient public information about the upcoming drone show and their inability to watch the filming live, which took place on March 30. "Irish News" writes that people had to settle for watching the show only on April 2 on BBC, on the anniversary of the "Titanic's" departure.

Several people connected to the "Titanic," including Aidan McMichael, president of Belfast's "Titanic" Society, attended the event. He said he understood the disappointment of those who could not attend the filming but considered BBC's decision not to turn the drone show into a mass event correct. According to him, a large crowd could create safety risks and interfere with the execution of the project./publika.az
