Medianews.az reports that in the foreign country segments of social networks, especially those related to Afghanistan and India, a photo presented as the corpse of Imran Khan has also been widely shared.
However, the matter is not confirmed and it turns out that the news is actually a rumor and the photo is a montage.
It was clarified that the photo presented as Imran Khan’s corpse was actually taken several years ago when the prime minister felt unwell and collapsed, and was being carried on a stretcher. In other words, the corpse photo is a montage of the photo on the stretcher.
The reason why the rumor about Imran Khan being killed in prison appears so credible is mostly because his sister is not allowed to meet him in prison.
Born in 1952, Imran Khan led the Pakistani government from 2018 to 2022. He has been imprisoned since the summer of 2023, found guilty of corruption and sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment. His wife was also sentenced to 7 years in prison on the same charge.
