The Electronic Security Service has issued a warning to citizens regarding attempts of cyber fraud.
Medianews.az reports that, according to the institution, recently some internet pages advertised on social networks with content such as "payment of fines," "discount on fines," "debt settlement," and similar phrases have been observed to be used for phishing purposes.
It has been reported that during monitoring, it was determined that a number of fake internet resources mimic official government platforms and attempt to obtain users' bank card information and other personal data.
The Electronic Security Service advises citizens not to trust suspicious advertisements circulating on social networks, not to make payment transactions via unknown links, not to share card data, CVV/CVC, and confirmation codes with third parties, to make payments only through official and government information systems, and to carefully check the domain addresses of the internet pages they visit.
Citizens are recommended to report cases of cyber fraud to the relevant authorities./Trend.Az
