She will begin her service in August 2026 at the Guard Cavalry Regiment located in Slagelse. During this period, the princess will undergo basic military training under the same conditions as other soldiers and will also participate in various assignments.
This step is regarded as an important symbol in terms of gender equality in Denmark.
