There is an increase in the price of sacrificial animals across the country. Currently, the price of the cheapest sacrificial animal in the capital's markets and slaughter points is 300 manat.
How have the prices changed compared to last year?
Medianews.az reports that sellers attribute the price increase to the cost of feed:
"Animals up to 35 kilos are priced at 10 manats per kilo, those over 35 kilos at 10 manats, and 40-45 kilos at 9.50 manats. Deposits have already been paid, and the sacrifices have been determined. Sales are good. However, there is an increase in the prices of both live and processed meat. Animals come from Jalilabad, Imishli, and usually Beylagan."
Meat prices have also increased in the regions. Sellers link this to the shortage of livestock markets.
It should be noted that Qurban Bayram will be celebrated in our country on May 27-28.//Milli.Az
