“Continuing my father's path and becoming a soldier is a great pride and honor. When my father was martyred in 1992, he was buried in Qazyan village of Qubadli district where he was born and raised. My father's grave was also under captivity. Climbing the mountains and looking around, one's heart would burst. I used to say that if the Supreme Commander would give an order, even if we had to crawl on our knees, we would go and liberate those places. Thanks be to God, that day came. We entered our own district and liberated it from occupation. The first place I visited was my father's grave. There are words that cannot be expressed. When I entered the cemetery, I did not think at all that there might be mines or explosive materials. At that time, I felt as if my feet were not touching the ground. It seemed like I was flying high in the sky. Currently, I am still in the military field. I am both the lawyer of the military unit I work in and the deputy commander of the unit.” This was said to Medianews.az by Emin Aliyev, son of National Hero Aliyar Aliyev.

He then shared memories about his father:

“Regardless of who one is, all children would want to resemble their father. I am no different. Although I wear military attire like my father, I have not been able to match his steps. Therefore, even though I am a soldier like my father, I have not been able to reach the heights he attained. He was a different kind of person. Such heroes are born once in a hundred years. The entire district respected my father; everyone considered him a hero. For a soldier, the highest peak is martyrdom. My father reached this summit. Some of our lands are still under Armenian control. We believe that we will set foot on those lands as well. We believe and trust in the Supreme Commander,” he said.

Emin Aliyev says his greatest wish is to live in Qubadli:
“Only the back walls of our house in Qazyan village in Qubadli remain. For now, there is no moving to Qubadli. Houses are being built in two villages of our district. They are also mountain villages. Surely, when the district is fully restored, we will be among the first to move. After Qubadli was liberated, the head of the district executive authority Malik Isagov restored the monuments over my father's and other martyrs' graves. I thank Mr. Malik on behalf of myself and my family,” said Emin Aliyev, son of Aliyar Aliyev.
