As we reported, Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the son of Libya’s former leader Muammar Gaddafi, was killed during armed clashes.
Publika.az reports that "RIA Novosti" has released new information citing a statement from his political bureau.
It is stated that Saif al-Islam’s supporters believe that his assassination deprives the country of any chance to resolve the internal conflict through peaceful means.
"The killing of a political figure of this scale is the destruction of all opportunities for peace and stability in Libya, and those responsible will be punished," the document said.
It should be noted that Saif al-Islam Gaddafi was executed by shooting in the city of Az-Zintan. Four attackers were involved, and all fled the scene. Saif al-Islam participated in the shooting with the attackers and was killed at 14:30 local time (16:30 Baku time).
