The amount of bail paid by Gaddafi's son before his release has been revealed.

The son Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's (1942-2011) son Hannibal has been released after his lawyers paid a bail of 896 thousand dollars set by the Lebanese court.

Oxu.Az reports that Hannibal Gaddafi has left the General Security Directorate building and has headed to his home in Beirut under heightened security, where he will spend about 10 days with his family. After completing all the remaining procedures, he will likely fly to the United Arab Emirates by private plane.

Previously, the court authorities had demanded a bail of 11 million dollars for the release of Gaddafi's son, who had been detained since 2015.

It should be noted that Gaddafi's son has been detained in Lebanon since 2015. He was kidnapped from neighboring Syria — from the place where he was living in political exile — by fighters of the "Amal" movement, and later handed over to the Lebanese law enforcement agencies. In 2017, the accused was charged with concealing information about Musa Sadr, the Shia imam who went missing in Libya in 1978.
