The German club "Eintracht," which sent Dino Toppmöller into retirement, will enter the match against "Qarabağ" in the Champions League group stage under the leadership of former players.

It is noted that the U-19 team's coaches Aleks Mayer and Dennis Schmidt will be part of the coaching staff. They will be in charge of the team in the match to be held in Baku on January 21.
It should be noted that Aleks Mayer is not a stranger to "Qarabağ." He played against "Qarabağ" in the Europa League play-off stage in 2013-2014 as part of "Eintracht." In the match held in Baku, Mayer secured a victory for his team with a double, and he was also the author of the first goal in the match in Germany. In that encounter, the Frankfurt team celebrated a 2:1 victory.
After ending his playing career, A. Mayer started coaching and has been coaching "Eintracht's" U-19 team since 2025.
