"National unity is our most important value. Despite the current situation, life in the country has not stopped."
Medianews.az reports, citing Oxu.Az, that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian wrote this on his social media account.
"We are in direct contact with provincial leaders. Despite the current situation, life in the country has not stopped. Activities continue across the country. With the delegation of necessary authorities to the provinces, decisions are made quickly and in accordance with local conditions. National unity is our most important value," said the Iranian president.
Recall that on February 28, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the Israeli Defense Forces had launched a preemptive strike on Iran. Later, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that his country also participated in the military operation against Iran.
Iran, in turn, launched dozens of ballistic missiles at Israel. The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed the strikes, sirens sounded within the country, and air defense systems were activated.
On March 1, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was declared killed during the attacks.
Iran launched missile strikes on most neighboring countries where U.S. military bases are located. As a result, the airspace in those countries has been temporarily closed.
