The preventive measure against singer Rəqsanə İsmayılova, accused of fraud causing large-scale damage, has been changed.
Medianews.az reports, citing APA, that the house arrest preventive measure against her has been replaced with a preventive measure of being under police supervision.
It should be noted that singer Rəqsanə İsmayılova was arrested in August last year on charges of fraud.
Based on complaints from citizens, and as a result of actions carried out by the police, the singer accused of fraud was detained.
Investigations revealed that she fraudulently obtained gold jewelry worth a total of 35,000 manat and cash amounting to 520,000 US dollars from two victims.
Regarding these facts, a criminal case was initiated at Sabunçu District Police Department under the Criminal Code article regarding fraud causing particularly large damages, and R. İsmayılova was detained as the accused and involved in the investigation. By the court's decision, a preventive measure of detention for 4 months was selected against her.
In November, Rəqsanə İsmayılova was released to house arrest. Sabunçu District Court decided to replace the detention preventive measure against her with house arrest.
Based on the payment of a certain part of the damage (100,000 manat) and mutual agreement between the victims and accused Rəqsanə İsmayılova, the detention preventive measure applied against her was replaced by the court with house arrest.
Investigation activities by the police continue regarding the criminal case.
