"The severance of current relations with Russia will inevitably lead to severe consequences for ordinary citizens of Armenia."
This statement was made by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council and Chairman of the "United Russia" ("Yedinaya Rossiya") Party.
He stated that the West views Armenia only as a tool to fight against Russia and is interested in cleansing the political arena of all forces that favor healthy relations between Moscow and Yerevan.
"The inevitable severe consequences that the rupture of decades-old relations will bring upon ordinary citizens do not at all interest the countries of the European Union," Medvedev emphasized.
