"If 'Nilay' goes, the series might end."

Faruk Turqut, the producer of Turkey's famous series "Kızılcık Şerbeti," made statements regarding the possibility of Feyza Civelek, who plays the character "Nilay," leaving the series.

Medianews.az reports, citing "Qafqazinfo," that the producer spoke as a guest on Fatih Altaylı's YouTube channel program "İzzet Çapa ile Paşa Paşa Muhabbetler."

He firmly denied the claims that Feyza Civelek's mother, the series screenwriter Melis Civelek, influenced the program's casting decisions.

Touching on the possibility of Feyza Civelek being removed from the series, Turqut said, “The series is not currently airing. There is a four-month period until September. What could happen in these four months? Will the channel be sold? Will there be restructuring at the channel? I think it is meaningless to discuss the current situation. If Feyza leaves, the series may end. The screenwriter of this series is Melis. God forbid anyone be tested with their daughter or child. I will not be part of anything that puts Melis in a difficult situation,” he stated.

It should be noted that Doğukan Güngör, who plays the character "Fatih" in the series, was removed from "Kızılcık Şerbeti" due to positive drug test results. Later, despite Feyza Civelek's drug test also being positive, her remaining in the series became a topic of discussion among viewers. The audience regarded this as discrimination among the actors.
