The sharp rise in the water level of the Kura river is causing a number of complications.
Medianews.az reports that the toll bridge connecting the villages of Qaraqashli, Guruzma, and Gazli in Sabirabad district with the district center has collapsed and become unusable due to the rising water.
Because of this, villagers are using alternative routes, passing through the Hajiqabul district to reach the district center.
It is reported that the bridge, constructed by a private entrepreneur, has been serving the population as a toll bridge for several years. The toll was 50 qepiks and the bridge shortened drivers’ routes by 25-30 kilometers.//Qafqazinfo
