An infectious disease, still unidentified and termed the "mysterious virus," is rapidly spreading in Cuba.
BAKU.WS reports that foreign sources state the epidemic has affected about one-third of the country's population.
Due to the increase in infection cases, hospitals are facing a shortage of beds, and in some regions, patients are being provided medical assistance on the floor. According to official information, at least 52 people have died from the virus, many of whom are children. Currently, tens of thousands of suspected infection cases have been recorded.
Experts do not rule out the possibility that the disease might involve the simultaneous spread of several viruses. The current situation has also caused international concern, with several countries issuing travel warnings regarding Cuba.
