Dozens of museums and historical monuments located in Iran have been damaged as a result of military attacks.
According to Medianews.az citing Modern.az, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran has released this information.
According to the information, at least 56 museums and historical monuments across the country, including some sites listed on the world heritage register, have been damaged due to attacks by the US and Israel. The ministry states that serious damage to the structures of several historical buildings has been recorded during the attacks.
It was noted that among the damaged sites are examples of ancient architecture, museum buildings, and various historical complexes. Currently, specialists are assessing the extent of the damage to the monuments and investigating restoration possibilities.
