Iran offers foreign governments to purchase advanced weapon systems, including ballistic missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and military ships, with cryptocurrency. Tehran is trying to bypass Western financial restrictions by using these digital assets.
According to "Report," this is stated in an article by "The Financial Times."
It is noted that the Export Operations Center of the Iranian Ministry of Defense, known as "Mindex," declares its readiness to negotiate military contracts that include payments in digital currencies, as well as barter deals and the Iranian rial. Advertising materials and payment terms analyzed by the publication prove this.
This proposal, which has emerged over the past year, appears to be one of the first known instances where a state explicitly declares its readiness to accept cryptocurrency as payment for the export of strategic military technology.
It is claimed that the state agency responsible for the foreign sale of Iran’s defense products, "Mindex," cooperates with 35 countries and advertises a weapons catalog that includes "Emad" ballistic missiles, "Shahed" drones, military ships belonging to the "Shaheed Soleimani" class, and short-range air defense (SHORAD) systems.
